What usually goes wrong
Shifts get swapped over WhatsApp and the rota stops being true.
Move a shift to somebody else in a couple of clicks and the rota stays the record. Hours then follow the rota rather than a group chat.
You do not find out somebody is not coming until service starts.
Rostered shifts with nobody clocked in are flagged in reporting, so a pattern of no-shows shows up as a pattern rather than as a bad night.
Working out hours and overtime for a young, part-time team takes hours.

Questions
- Does it cope with shifts that finish after midnight?
- Yes. A shift ending at 01:00 belongs to the day it started, and hours are counted across the boundary rather than split in two.
- Can staff swap shifts themselves?
- Not yet — a manager makes the change today, and it takes seconds. Staff-initiated swaps are the next thing being built, and hospitality is the reason.
- We are seasonal. Can we add and remove people easily?
- Yes, and billing follows your headcount, so a summer team costs more than a winter one and you are not paying for leavers.
